Most people leave that money on the floor of their closet forever, or they go through the slow, fee-eating process of listing on StockX or GOAT and waiting two weeks for a payout that's already been chipped down by 14%.
There's a better way: walk into one of our shops, get a number in 15 minutes, walk out with cash.
This is exactly how it works.
Three ways to convert your collection into money
Every customer at Cold Shoulder Kicks gets the same three options when they bring pairs in. Pick whichever one makes the most sense for what you're trying to do.
1. Sell outright for cash
We pay you cash on the spot for your pairs. No waiting, no fees, no shipping. You walk out the door with money the same day you walk in.
2. Sell for store credit (premium payout)
Same process, but instead of cash you take store credit — and we bump the offer because the money stays in our ecosystem. This is the right play if you came in to flip pairs for something else on our wall.
3. Consign
You leave the pair with us. We list it, market it, and sell it through our walk-in traffic, online store, and social channels. When it sells, you get paid. This is the move for rare, high-value pieces where you'd rather wait for the right buyer than take a quick number.
What to bring with you
The smoother your pairs are to evaluate, the better the offer.
Sneakers — bring the full package when possible:
- The pair itself (obviously)
- The original box, even if it's beat up
- All original accessories — extra laces, hangtags, special inserts
- Any provenance you have — receipts, drop confirmations, SNKRS notifications
You don't need the box. We'll still buy boxless pairs in good condition. But if you have it, bring it — boxed pairs sell faster, which means we can pay more.
Designer or streetwear apparel:
- Tags attached if you have them (huge value bump)
- Original packaging or dust bags
- Proof of authenticity if it's a piece that's commonly faked
- Honest disclosure on wear — pilling, marks, fading
You don't need an appointment. Walk in during open hours and we'll handle you. If you have a large collection (10+ pairs) or something high-end, a heads-up via email or DM is nice so we can have the right person ready.
The 15-minute walkthrough
Here's exactly what happens when you walk in with pairs.
Minute 1–3: Check-in. Someone behind the counter pulls out the bench. You set your pairs down, we ask basic questions — how worn, where you got them, any history we should know about.
Minute 3–10: Authentication. We go through every pair. We're looking at construction, materials, stitching, glue, font on labels, box label data, shape, weight. For high-risk pairs (Travis collabs, Off-White, Yeezys, Dior B22s) we go deeper. This is the same process we use on every pair before it touches our shelves — you're not being treated differently because you walked in to sell.
Minute 10–13: Pricing. We give you a number for each pair. We'll show you the cash offer, the store credit offer (higher), and the consignment estimate if it's a candidate for consignment. Pricing is based on current market: what comparable pairs are doing on resale platforms, in our own sales data, and on the floor right now.
Minute 13–15: Decision and payout. If you say yes, you sign a quick receipt, and we hand you cash. Or we issue store credit you can use immediately. Or we set up the consignment paperwork and you walk out empty-handed but with a number on the books.
Most people are in and out in under 20 minutes. Large collections take longer — budget an hour for 20+ pairs.
How we price
A lot of sellers come in expecting a low offer because that's what other shops have trained them to expect. We try to be the opposite of that.
Our cash offers are typically 70–80% of current market value on hyped pairs and 50–65% on slower-moving inventory. Designer apparel and accessories follow similar bands. Trade-in and store credit values are 10–15% better than cash.
Why we can pay more than most shops:
We move inventory fast. A pair sitting on a competitor's shelf for six months is dead money. Ours rotate quickly through walk-in, online, and consignment, so we can afford to pay closer to true market.
No fees. When you sell on StockX, you pay seller fees, transaction fees, and shipping. That comes out of your pocket. When you sell to us, you keep all of it.
We know the market. Half the lowball offers in this industry come from shops that genuinely don't know what something is worth. We do. We track resale data on every brand we carry. If your pair is worth $400, you're getting a real offer based on $400, not a guess at $250.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to authenticate my pair before bringing it in?
No. We authenticate every pair ourselves on the spot. That's part of what you're paying us for when you buy from us, and it's part of what we do for you when you sell to us. Free.
What if my pair is worn?
We still buy. We just grade accordingly. "DS" (deadstock) gets DS money. "VNDS" (very near deadstock) gets a small haircut. Used gets a bigger haircut but is absolutely still in play, especially for hyped pairs that customers will buy at any condition.
What if my pair turns out to be fake?
We hand it back to you, no charge, no judgment. A lot of people get burned on Facebook Marketplace or off-platform. Better to find out from us in 60 seconds than wear them out and post a pic that gets roasted in the comments.
Can I send photos for a pre-quote?
Yes. Email team@cskicksftl.com or DM us on Instagram with clear photos of the pair, the size tag, the inside of the tongue, and the box label. We'll give you a ballpark before you drive in. Final offer is always at the counter once we have hands on the pair.
Do you buy from people who aren't from the area?
Yes — and we have customers who drive in from Miami, Boca, Jupiter, and even the Keys to flip pairs. The drive is worth it for the right collection.
Can I do a trade plus cash?
All day. Bring in pairs, point at something on our wall, and we'll figure out the math. You can structure any deal as some combination of pairs in + cash in + store credit + pairs out. We make it work however it works.
How do consignment payouts work?
You set a target price with us. We list the pair across our sales channels. When it sells, we take a small commission and you get the rest. Typical consignment turnaround is 2–6 weeks for hyped pairs, longer for niche pieces. You can pull your pair back any time if you change your mind.
